Relationship to art and the earth

What do I like about the artistic approach?
Getting my hands dirty, transforming, exploring materials and colors, allows me to switch to a parallel world, a kind of universe of infinite freedom. In this world, I freely experiment with the field of possibilities, of thought, by shedding external injunctions.
Everything is possible, nothing is forbidden. Beauty is questioned, or at least I have the freedom to consider it outside of its usual norms. It is very exploratory, like going on a trip.
The process itself is something transcendent. It opens a way out of everyday life for me, to better deconstruct what I have learned elsewhere, and to emerge stronger and able to make my own choices.
For me, it is a way to take control of my actions and ideas, to work on my own free will. To assert myself without expecting external validation, to which we are often subjected.
Why work the land?
I have been making and exploring since I was a child. Among the different mediums I have worked with, ceramics is what I like the most.
It is very complete: the 3D sculpture, therefore the touch, the colors, the numerous transformations of the material (liquid, paste, leather, dry and raw, then cooked) the chance of the successive cookings, the adhesion between the colors and the material, the surprises when opening the oven...
Ceramics really makes you humble, you never stop learning, making mistakes, progressing. It's sometimes very frustrating, but I think that's also what I like so much, what allows you not to get bored.
I have worked mainly with earthenware since I was ten years old, and I started working with porcelain three years ago. This clay is more nervous and demanding, but the result is up to the energy provided.
